Awards

The Erie-Niagara Exchange Club regularly recognizes students and community members for their outstanding efforts and contributions.

YOUTH OF THE MONTH/YEAR:

A senior, selected by each of 5 area high schools, is honored for the dedication, commitment, school and community activities. The Youth of the Year programs take place in March. Students receive a monetary gift and plaque at a breakfast meeting attended by school officials and parents.

                    

SO PROUDLY WE HAIL:

Americanism is one of the main focuses of Exchange. This award honors an individual and/or business which correctly flies the American Flag at all times. The award includes a plaque and a new flag

                   

. OUTSTANDING FIREMAN/POLICEMAN AWARD: 

This special award honors a police officer or firefighter who have gone above and beyond their duties in saving lives or other heroic deeds.

ACE AWARD:

Rashad Sessum, of Cardinal O'Hara High School, is presented with this award for his ability to deal with hardship or a disability in a positive way. In the photo are from left, Marilyn Baxter, President; Laura Melli, Guidance Counselor; Rashad and his mother.

 

 

 

 

BOOK OF GOLDEN DEEDS:

An individual active in the community as a volunteer whose good deeds are done quietly and unnoticed.

 

 

 

YOUNG CITIZENSHIP AWARD:

A youngster in grammar school has demonstrated citizenship in school or the community.
